Using Email Widgets (eMarketing)

TEXT WIDGET 

Add text to the email with a text widget. When added you can click in it and type your content. A toolbar will appear at the top of the widget with text formatting options. 


 

You can drag and drop merge fields into the text widget from the fields tree on the left. A description of each merge field is displayed at the bottom of the fields tree. These fields will be replaced the correct value for each recipient when viewed in the preview tab, or when the email is sent. 

The merge fields available will vary depending on how you created the email. For example, if you create the email from a listing then additional listing fields will be available. 


You may also copy and paste text into here from a word or other document.

IMAGES WIDGET 

Add an images widget to display any property, staff, agency or department images from Real Estate Manager, or any other image you wish to upload.  

When you create an email from a listing or property and add an images widget it will show the properties images by default. To display other images, click the pencil to open the widget properties then change the Source to Selected Images. 

 

Use the search control to search for listing/property, staff, department, agency or any other email images. 

You can add a new image to the email by clicking the “New” button and selecting an image from your computer. To remove an email image, click the “Delete” button. Note that only images added to this email can be deleted. 


To display an image select it from the image search results and click the “Add” button. The images you have added appear in the selected images list on the left. You can change the order of the selected images by dragging and dropping them in the list. 


Use the “Layout” drop down list to change how the images are displayed in the email. 

  • List – Images are displayed in a vertical list. 

  • Tiles – Images are displayed as tiles with up to 4 columns depending on how many images you add. 

  • Large Image with thumbnails right – The first image is displayed large with up to 3 smaller images in a list on its right. Any additional images are ignored. 

  • Large Image with thumbnails below – The first image is displayed large with all other images displayed smaller below it. 

Use the “Link To” drop down to choose what happens if a recipient clicks on an image. 

  • No Link – Clicking the image does nothing. 

  • Images Web Page – Opens a web page associated with the image, i.e. for a listing image the listing web page will open, for an agency image the agencies web site will open. If the image cannot be associated with a web page, clicking the image does nothing. 

  • Email Listing Web Page – Opens the web page of the listing used to create the email. This option is only available when the email is created from a listing. 

  • Full Size Image – Opens the image at its maximum available size. 

  • Entered Link  Opens the link you enter in the “Link” field. 

Tick the “Show Image Captions” option to display the captions entered for each image. 

LINE WIDGET 

Add a line widget to separate sections of your email with a horizontal line. Click the pencil icon to modify the size and colour of the line. 














 

LISTING STRIP LIST WIDGET 

Add a strip list widget to show group of listings in the email. If the email was created from a set of buyer matched listings then the strip list widget will display those listings by default. If not, it will display any listing with open homes scheduled in the next 7 days. Click the pencil icon to modify the listings shown. 

You can filter the listings included in the strip list using the department and listing type drop down lists. The departments selected will determine the types available in the listing types drop down list. 


 


The “Primary Source indicates how the listings will be chosen. If there are insufficient matching listings to reach the “Max Listings Shown” then the “Secondary Source” will also be used.  

The widget will only use listings that have the “eMarketing” web portal enabled, unless you choose the selected listings source, which allows you to select any listing. 


 


  1. Use the “Layout” drop down list to choose how the listings are displayed. 
  1. Use the “Sort By” options to choose the order that the listings are displayed. If you have “Selected Listings” you can choose the “Selected Listings Manual Order” which allows you to manually adjust the order of your selected listings using the up and down arrows. 
  1. Select the address display format from the “Address” drop down list. 
  1. Choose the listing and lister information to display for each listing. To choose which open homes times are displayed click the “Opens” link. 

 


You can choose to show all opens for several days into the future, or all opens on selected days of the week for several weeks, or all opens occurring between 2 dates. 

LISTING INFO WIDGET 

Add a listing info widget to display detailed information about a single listing. If the email was created from a listing the widget will default to show that listings information. 


 


Change the “Listing Source” to “Selected Listing” to search for and select a listing. 

 

Choose the address and price display options from the drop-down lists. 

Choose the listing and lister information to display for each listing. To choose which open homes times are displayed click the “Opens” link. 


 

You can choose to show all opens for several days into the future, or all opens on selected days of the week for several weeks, or all opens occurring between 2 dates. 

SOCIAL MEDIA WIDGET 

Add a social media widget to display links to your social media sites. To select the sites displayed click the pencil icon. 


 


Choose the who’s social media links to use from the “Source” drop-down list. 
  • Email From – Use the social media of the staff that the email is sent from. 

  • Selected Staff – Use the social media of the staff selected member. 

  • Selected Agency – Use the social media of the selected agency. 

  • Agency  Use the social media of the agency that the email is created in. 

If you choose to show a staff members links you can tick the “Include department social media if required“ option, which will add the department social media links for any site that the staff member does not have. 


If you tick the “Include agency social media if required” option, the widget will add the agency social media links for any site that the staff/department does not have. 


Tick the sites you want to display from the “Sites” list. The list contains only sites that are used by your agency and staff. Use the up and down arrows to set the order that the sites are displayed. 

You can alter the social media icons appearance using the “Style” & ”Size” options. 


 


Note that the email editor displays the social media icons for all the selected sites, however the actual email may contain less icons if the source (staff, department, or agency) does not have links for every site. View the preview tab to see the actual icons displayed for each recipient. 

SPACER WIDGET  

Add space between the sections of your email with a spacer widget. Click the pencil icon to modify the height of the space. 


 

The email editor positions widgets further apart than they appear in the actual email to assist editing. Switch to the preview tab to see the spacing of the actual email.
